KVKK Information Notice

This information notice has been prepared by Bilimografi under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). For any questions or requests, email [email protected].

1. Personal Data Processed

All visitors: Anonymous visit statistics only (page views, browser and device type, country). This data cannot be used to identify you.
Members: Email address, display name, profile photo when signing in with Google, comments written, ratings given and the time of the last comment for spam protection.
Advertising: Cookie data used by Google AdSense to show ads. This data is collected directly by Google, not by Bilimografi.
Security: Device, browser and interaction data collected by Google reCAPTCHA for bot protection. This data is also processed directly by Google, not by Bilimografi.

2. Purposes of Processing

Account and comment data is used only to run your account, comments and ratings. It is not processed or analyzed for any other purpose and is not used for advertising or marketing. Anonymous statistics are used to operate the site and improve its content.

3. Legal Grounds

Account and comment data: providing the membership service, i.e. the establishment and performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c)
Anonymous statistics: legitimate interest in operating the site (KVKK Art. 5/2-f)
reCAPTCHA bot protection: legitimate interest in the security of the site and its users (KVKK Art. 5/2-f)
Advertising cookies: your explicit consent, where required

4. Sharing of Data

Your account and comment data is not sold and is not shared with any third party, including advertising partners. It is stored only on the servers of Google Firebase, our technical infrastructure provider; the site is served through Cloudflare. The servers of these providers may be located outside Turkey.

The data policies of embedded content providers (e.g. Sketchfab), Google AdSense and Google reCAPTCHA apply separately.

5. Retention Period

Account data is kept for as long as your account remains open and is deleted when you delete your account. Your ratings remain part of the content's average and can no longer be linked to you once your account is deleted. You can delete your comments from your profile page at any time; if you choose to keep them when deleting your account, they remain on the site under your display name.

6. Rights of the Data Subject

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

Learn whether your personal data is being processed
Request information about it if it has been processed
Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose
Request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly
Request its deletion under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK
Object to any outcome against you that results from analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems
